About Wandering Shepherd

Built Around the Way Cattle Ranches Actually Work

Wandering Shepherd combines livestock experience, in-animal sensing, ranch networking and practical software to help producers see which animals deserve attention and where to start looking.

Why we are building it.

Cattle rarely live beside an office network. They move across large land bases, through weather and terrain, while ranch crews manage limited time and labor. Wandering Shepherd was created around that reality.

The system brings three pieces together: a protected monitoring bolus, Herd IQ™ ranch connectivity and the Ranch Hand™ map-first dashboard. The goal is not more data for its own sake. It is better prioritization of the next physical check.

Operating principles

  • Design around working-ranch conditions
  • Keep the producer in control of the decision
  • Use measured field evidence instead of inflated claims
  • Build deployment plans around actual ranch geography
  • Make monitoring understandable to normal ranch crews

How we earn trust.

Presale pricing should be clear. Deployment limitations should be visible. Product specifications should be tied to the production device, not guessed. Field results should include enough context for a producer to decide whether they apply to a different ranch.

Tell us about your ranch.

We can start with herd size, acreage, terrain and which problem you want to solve first.
