Working-ranch validation

300-Pair Cow/Calf Operating Context

A working ranch environment used to pressure-test how cattle monitoring fits normal cow/calf operations before stronger performance claims are published.

What we are evaluating

The purpose of field validation is not to produce a perfect demonstration. It is to learn where the system adds useful visibility, where gateway placement needs improvement and which alerts actually lead to worthwhile cattle checks.

300 pairs

Working cow/calf operating context represented in the founding team.

4 questions

Coverage, alert usefulness, location workflow and operational fit.

The questions that matter on working ground

1. Can the ranch receive useful data where cattle actually spend time?

We look at terrain, gateway placement and data freshness rather than quoting a generic range number.

2. Which alerts justify a physical check?

Alert volume alone is not the goal. The important question is whether the information helps prioritize ranch work.

3. Does location context reduce searching?

GeoLocation should help narrow the search area for a monitored animal, especially when paired with a health alert.

4. Where does the deployment struggle?

Weak geometry, terrain, obstructions and connectivity limitations are part of the evidence and inform gateway placement.

What will be published when a measurement period is complete

  • Study dates and season
  • Monitored-animal count and gateway count
  • Relevant acreage, terrain and gateway layout
  • Definitions used for data freshness and actionable alerts
  • Measured results with sample size
  • Known coverage gaps or missing-data periods
  • Producer observations clearly identified as observations
  • Changes made to the product or deployment after the trial

Current status: this page describes the validation program and does not claim completed performance percentages. Measured outcomes will be added after the applicable data set has been reviewed.

Results-ready format

The field scorecard we will publish.

Each value stays marked as pending until the applicable dataset is reviewed. That keeps the page ready for real results without publishing placeholders as facts.
